Jalan Kayu Farm

After the 'failed' attempt to let Clare experience goat-feeding, we decided not to give up and went to check out Jalan Kayu's Animal Resort. I found out about this place from Gracia's blog. Hee... I would say it is a much better place to go than Hay Diaries and it is so much nearer to our house.

We went to have prata for breakfast before proceeding to the farm. It is actually not a very big and new compound. However, there are enough animals there to make Clare excited. There was a little booth that sells animal feeds for the animals. We bought some and proceeded to Clare's most familiar animal, the rabbits. (My aunt keeps 2 rabbits and Clare always have fun with them when we visits her.) As we were halfway feeding the rabbits, a group of children came in. After a while, the rabbits were so full that they were not at all interested in any food and many of them started to doze off. =p


So we proceeded to feed the fishes. There were many fish in the pond. Clare was saying 'yu' and 'mum mum' excitedly all the while as she dropped the food into the pond.


After feeding the fish, Clare finally had the chance to feed the goats. =) Haha! I thought she was quite brave by going so close to the goat to feed them. Good job, Clare!


There were also some ducks and tortoises at a much bigger pond on the other side of the farm. Clare was not so interested in them. Probably they were quite far away from us.

On the way back to the main area, we saw a huge bird (which gave Clare and me a big scare when it hit its long and big beakvery hard at the gate!) and some parrots.


After saying goodbye to the goats and rabbits, it started to drizzle and we went home. This is definitely a place we will revisit and Clare really enjoyeed herself today! =)
