There is a drawer in my mother's house that Clare always likes to open to get herself some papers and a pen so that she can doodle on them. My mother saw her placing her hands too near the edge of the drawer when closing it and for fear that her little fingers will get caught in them, my mother showed Clare that she should push the drawer in by placing her hands in the middle of the drawer instead of near the side.
Clare understood and would do so every time. My mother caught her once when She had a pen in one hand and papers in the other. She stood there and pondered for a while over how she should close the drawer with both her hands occupied. Then she gave a little grin and used her tummy to push the drawer in.
My mother had a good laugh and as she was telling my father, Clare heard and she went to the drawer, pulled it out and then demonstrated to my father what she did. Cheeky Clare! =p
